Great infographic from the NY Times showing where the average American spends money. For all the talk about food prices rising, it’s nice to see exactly what categories, and what a miniscule part of of the overall spending pattern it is.
Gasoline is a big chunk (5.2%), bigger than all clothing combined, and almost as big as health care.
