Miles per Gallon vs. Gallons per Mile
Nice look at why replacing the least-efficient cars is such a priority. My only quibble is that the thought experiment doesn’t explain why the guy driving the 18 MPG car can’t buy the 50 MPG car. “Utility constraints” is a little vague.
